How to take care of your eyes in daily life
Eyes are the organs why you can enjoy the wonderful world. A good 20/20 vision eye is the dream of every person. In fact, there are rarely people with excellent vision in their whole life. Some people have inborn eye diseases. Some people have deteriorated eyes with the age becoming older. Some people have more or less the near-sighted problem because of staring the computer, or television too long at a young age. Diet, such as carrots, spinach, kale, broccoli and other green vegetables, is good for a healthy eye. Recently, a study shows that diet which is rich of omega-3 fatty acid can reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), which is the leading cause of blindness among the elderly. The omega-3 fatty acid generally exists in oily fish, sardines, salmon and some kinds of vegetables. So it is suggested that you have carrots, vegetables and foods with high omega-3 fatty acid level every day.
Drinking a lot of water is advantageous to the function of the whole body including the eyes. It is best to drink eight to ten cups of water each day. But the alcohol drinking is not recommended as the negative effects of the alcohol to the body organs.
Enough sleep is essential for both refreshed spirit and good eyesight. The time of sleeping alters according to different people. The young usually need about eight to nine hours sleeping to own a good condition. The elder may only need about four to five hours and they do not feel sleepy. It depends not to your time of sleeping but to the time which fits you best. A sleepy situation will introduce dry and sore eyes, and if the same situation lasts for a long time, your eyesight, of course, can not bear it.
Exercise is an effective way to improve your eyesight.
