Casio MQ-24-7BLL review
Choosing which new watch to buy is never an easy decision. There are so many brands available at the moment that the decision can very easily turn into a marathon and take a long time.
But if, like me, you love Skagen watches then the decision is relatively easy. If I'm in the market for a nice watch for 'going out' then I'll buy a Skagen - I then just have to decide which model!
But you may be aware that the movements within Skagen watches are either Swiss-made (and expensive) or (and this is the majority) are made by Casio. So if I just want a watch for everyday wear then I will choose a Casio.
And one of the best Casio watches on the market at the moment (and one of the most popular and cheap) watches at Amazon is the Casio MQ-24-7BLL Mens Analogue Resin Strap watch. It has got about 200 customer reviews at Amazon, most of which give it a 5 star rating and the overall score is not far below that figure. The watch is part of the Casio Quartz collection. Basic Features: This unisex Casio Quartz Black White watch comes with a water resistance of 30M, which makes it splash resistant. The timepiece features Casio's official two year guarantee. The case is made of resin and the dial colour is white. The case width is 35 millimetres and its depth is seven millimetres. The watch comes with a tang buckle clasp. Additional Features and Benefits: This quartz analogue wrist watch has a classical appearance and a stylish design. It is powered by a battery that can run approximately two years before a replacement is needed. The dial is white, featuring easy to read black numbers. The timepiece comes with three-hand analogue movement. Scratch-resistant mineral glass crystal adds to the resilience of the timepiece. The band is made of resin, which is flexible and very durable at the same time. This timepiece comes with amazing accuracy of +/-20 seconds per month.

Most other analogues have too much bling, are up to 15mm thick and can weigh up to 100g or more (which would be like having a bag of sugar on the end of your arm!) Digital watches are covered with multi-coloured lettering, and have dozens of functions and buttons you'll never need; I'm not going diving, pot-holing, trekking or mountain climbing any time soon. The cheapest "retro" digitals look exactly that; cheap.
By contrast, this watch couldn't be simpler; white background, black numbers and dials. Accurate to within 20s a month. The battery life's a little disappointing at only two years, though (?!)
At this price, you can afford to have a fancy watch for "best" as well.'
